Linlithgow Rugby Club Choir’s Christmas video
Things will be very different this Christmas for the Linlithgow Rugby Club Choir, with its usual festive events replaced by an online video.
There will be no group singing in St Ninians Craigmailen church, no collection for St Michael’s Day Care Centre and no festive drinks in the rugby club afterwards.
Instead, members of the 30-strong choir have worked tirelessly in their homes during lockdown to produce a Christmas video with a selection of their favourite carols.
Each singer has practised and produced his own part in each of the carols, recorded them and sent them to the choir’s producer who has married all the parts together.
This Christmas masterpiece will be given its public airing today (Friday). Click here to see it.
Choir chairman Peter Russell said: “It has been almost a year since we sang as a choir but I know that the guys have not been idle. We have been producing songs online and keeping our voices in good shape by practising and recording a few of our standard numbers.
“We hope that this Christmas offering will fill the gap left by our inability to sing in a carol concert this year and that our many supporters will find it uplifting and enjoyable.
“We hope they have as merry a Christmas as possible and look forward to seeing them when we perform our next concert in the year ahead.”
