Linlithgow singer songwriter Jamie Clelland is due to play Vibration Festival at Callandar Park in September.

The festival will be held in Falkirk’s Callandar Park over the weekend September 3 and 4. Jamie is looking forward to appearing on the bill, alongside the likes of Cast, The Fratellis, Reef, The Pigeon Detectives and Shambolics.

He said: “I’ll be playing on the acoustic stage along side the likes of Stevie McCrorie.

“The Fratellis headline the Saturday evening and that is huge for me to be involved in the same line up as them and many others on the bill. Cast, Reef, local lad Conor Fyfe and many more.

"It will be my very first festival appearance. I’m over the moon that I have been invited to play. I’m a wee bit nervous, but it’s an exciting nervousness. So I’m raring to go.

"It’s a massive opportunity for me and I will do my very best to make the most of it. I’m looking forward to the day.”

Jamie was delighted to get the call, and is hopeful Covid-19 will not ruin his debut festival appearance.

He said: "A few weeks ago I noticed the festival had started following my social media accounts. Then it all happened very quickly. It was just brilliant.

"It’s all going to be open air. And of course, by then everyone should have had their vaccinations.

"I’m just desperate to get back singing. I have got a few gigs lined up, but this festival is a very big one to top off my summer. I hope to have more to announce in the coming weeks and months.

"I last played live six or seven months before lockdown, it has been been a long time.”

The P&M Sinclair Building Company joiner is hoping to have lots of family, friends and work colleagues at the festival to cheer him on.

"I think there is going to be 3,000 people there each day. I’m hoping for about 500-1000 people when I play on the acoustic stage. That will easily be my biggest crowd.

"I have had lots of messages from people in Linlithgow saying they have got their tickets already. And my work are putting on a coach to come through.”

Tickets for Vibration Festival: Jamie’s latest single, Rollercoaster of Love, is out now, available on Apple Music. Spotify, Amazon and all the usual platforms.

Jamie was back in the studio last weekend recording his next single, ‘Diamonds Aren’t Forever’, which he hopes to release in the next couple of months.
