For 2016 is the Senior Section’s centenary year – known in this country as The Scottish Senior Section Spectacular – and the Forth Valley County organised Picnic in the Park for all sections in Callendar Park last Sunday.
Around 600 Girlguiding members were in attendance, aged from the young to the young at heart.

Polmont District Commissioner Shona Mitchell said: “To work towards the challenge the Rainbows and Brownies followed a Bunny Trail through the woods to find bunnies with numbers associated with the Senior Section on them.
“Some Guides and Senior Section girls walked from the Falkirk Wheel, Polmont and Linlithgow along the canal into Callendar Park, or walked home along the canal and others did one of the longer trails within Callendar Park.
“All sections then sat down together for a picnic, a bit of relaxing time, some chatting with old and new friends and then finished off with some campfire songs.
