COUNCILLORS will visit Bo’ness to rule on a contentious planning application.
The site visit was agreed when Falkirk Council’s planning committee discussed proposals for the garden ground at Roman House, Grange Terrace, Bo’ness, on Wednesday. The owner of Roman House is proposing to build a single-storey bungalow in the garden ground but there have been seven letters of objection and one petition containing 17 signatures. The objectors claim the development is counter to the local plan policy on conservation areas and listed buildings. Roman House is a 19th century ‘B’ listed detached villa built originally for the Ballantine iron-founding family. The site visit has been set for Monday, March 19, at 9.20am - note the change of time from that printed in Friday’s paper.
