Prime Minister David Cameron took time out of his busy schedule to have lunch in Queensferry on Thursday prior to his meeting with Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond and talks on Scotland’s independence.
He arrived in the town with his entourage, and drove along to the Hawes Pier before walking back along the High Street to Orocco Pier, where he had lunch in the hotel’s Fuchsia suite.
The visit was planned ahead of his meeting with the First Minister at the Scottish Government’s headquarters St Andrew’s House in Edinburgh later that afternoon.
Peter Wilson, managing director of Renaissance Ecosse, which runs Orocco Pier, said: “We are delighted to have had the Prime Minister visit Orocco Pier.
‘‘We hope he enjoyed his short stay with us.”
