Following a recent spree of housebreakings in Linlithgow, police are urging residents to remain vigilant.

In the past three weeks, three homes in the Springfield area have been targeted at addresses in Sheriffs Park, Bailielands and Barons Hill.

Investigating officers are currently carrying out inquiries to trace those responsible and are appealing for information.

In particular they are keen to trace two men who were seen acting suspiciously in the area of Springfield Road between 5.45pm and 7.30pm on Monday, June 27.

The first male is described as white, in his late teens, thin build, around 5ft 4in with short fair rough hair with a red tinge.

He was seen wearing a navy blue hooded top, dark blue denim jeans, white baseball style boots with red round the bottom.

The second male is also white, aged between 25 and 29 years old, stocky build, around 5ft 5in with dark short hair.

He was wearing a dark bomber style jacket with blue denim jeans and possibly carrying a rucksack.

Community Sergeant Kris Linejs said: “Try and make it as difficult as possible for criminals to get into your home by ensuring the property is secured when you are out.

“Contact 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you have any information.”
