Fiona Hyslop

As the local MSP since 2011 I am seeking re-election and offer experience, determination and commitment.

There is so much potential in the town with its many community groups and active energy transition goals.

The SNP offers a strong policy programme putting recovery from Covid for the NHS and the economy at its heart.

As Cabinet Secretary for the Economy I have established the Young Person Guarantee to make sure all young people get a job, education or training.

A National Infrastructure Fund will see energy retro-fitting of housing and a comprehensive drive for more electric and hydrogen transport solutions.

Tackling the Climate Emergency will run through all Government action.

We will support supply chain development and jobs from a just transition with renewable energy and in digital industries and life sciences jobs for the future.

ScotRail will be taken into public control.

Building on our delivery of 1400 hours of free early years education and child care, we will roll out more wraparound child care and provide free school meals for all P1-P7 pupils.

We will pay Councils the funds needed to freeze the Council Tax saving families bills.

Scotland’s recovery and Scotland’s future needs to be in Scotland’s hands.

The Scottish National Party will offer the choice of Independence in a referendum once the immediate Covid crisis has passed.
