Register now for your election voting right

West Lothian residents are being urged to make sure they are able to vote in May’s local government elections.

You must be registered to vote by midnight on Easter Monday, 17 April, if you want to vote in West Lothian Council elections on Thursday 4 May.

Anyone who will be 16 or over on 4 May 2017 is eligible to vote, and the process has recently changed from household to individual registration, so West Lothian residents are urged to make sure they are registered to vote.

To register, you must a British Citizen, a qualifying Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the European Union, and normally resident in Scotland.
