SNP Falkirk East candidate highlights Bo'ness in campaign video
Local SNP candidate for the upcoming Scottish election, Michelle Thomson, has recently been drawing attention to Bo’ness as part of her ‘around Falkirk East in 80 days’ video campaign.
In the absence of a normal campaign, Ms Thomson’s campaign videos count down to polling day, and have seen her virtually ‘travelling’ around the constituency, including in Bo’ness where she highlights the town’s history and annual events.
She said: “It was an honour to draw attention to Bo’ness, particularly the fascinating history which the SNP has in the town, and the challenges and opportunities that a growing population is presenting to Bo’ness at the present time.”
She added: “If elected, I would seek to work closely with the community in Bo’ness, and Falkirk Council, to ensure that these challenges and opportunities are met.
"During the ongoing pandemic there are, quite rightly, restrictions on face to face political campaigning.
"As the SNP candidate for Falkirk East, I believe that the current necessary restrictions should not be a barrier between me as a candidate, and local voters.
“That is why I have created the’around Falkirk East in 80 days’ video series, as well as weekly video Q&A’s, which are available on my website and on my social media channels. They highlight the local area, and my opinions on many local and national issues.
"Voters have a right to know what my views are on the issues as they decide who will be their next MSP, and this series does that.”
