Queensferry kids enjoy mask making day

There were plenty creepy goings-on at Queensferry Library this week when a mask making event was staged as part of their ‘Creepy House’ reading programme over the school holiday period.

Organised by library assistant May Addison, the crafts event targeted three to six years-olds and saw them decorate a variety of masks. May said: “The children had a great time decorating the masks with sequins and glitter.”

Up and coming events include a storytelling session on Wednesday, July 31, at 4pm for under fives, a Zoolab Creepy House Workshop’ for five to 12 year-olds on Tuesday, July 30, 11am to noon; and the ‘Creepy House Party’ a fancy dress party for all ages on Wednesday, August 7, from 2-3pm.

The events are all free to attend but you must book your place in advance by dropping into the library or calling 0131 529 5576 or email southqueensferry.library@
