Queensferry kids learn firework message

A play highlighting the dangers of misusing fireworks was performed to pupils at Queensferry High School this week.

Up to 1500 S2 pupils in schools across Edinburgh were shown the play, performed by the Stranger Theatre Company. Entitled ‘Toast’, it focussed on how dangerous fireworks can be, and aired issues such as peer pressure, bullying and managing aggression. The council’s environment leader Councillor Lesley Hinds said: “We will be carrying out test purchasing in shops where fireworks are on sale to make sure that retailers are adhering to the legislation
