Queensferry lifeboat called out to make island rescue
RNLI Queensferry was called out to make a rescue from Cramond Island last week.
The volunteer crew were paged at 2pm on Tuesday, March 16, to assist a person cut off by the tide.
The Atlantic 85 B-class Lifeboat, Jimmie Cairncross, was launched with four crew members on board and made way to the island.
Two crew members were put ashore to assist the individual onto the lifeboat and to check the island for any other casualties.
The lifeboat was then taken i nto Cramond Village in order to hand the casualty over to the Coastguard.
Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, local Coastguard teams and Scottish Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
