The Post Office is poised to open a new, improved service at Newtown Post Office, Baker Street, Bo’ness.
And, in a massive boost for customers, Post Office services will be available for an additional 41 hours each week.
The service will launch at 1pm on Friday, January 23, at a combination counter where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the till.
Customers will be able to access a wide range of services including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns and online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.
Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office card account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
Newtown Post Office will close at 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 14, for the refurbishment to take place.
During the closure Post Office services can be accessed from Maidenpark Post Office, 1-3 Gilburn Place, and Bo’ness Post Office, 30 East Pier Street.
Damian Mulholland, area manager said: “We are confident this vibrant, new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.
“The modernisation is part of an investment programme that is enabling us to continue investing in the Post Office network and to map out a growth strategy through to the end of the decade.”
The Post Office service will be available 6am-7.30pm, Monday to Friday and 7am-7.30pm on Saturday and 7am-2pm on Sundays.
