Roadworks this month

Previously it appeared to say certain roads in West Lothian would be closed for up to three weeks, however that is not the case.

From Monday July 18, the A904 will be closed to through traffic from its junction with the A803 to its junction with the B8020 to allow carriageway re-surfacing.

However, local access will be permitted and signage will be erected to indicate that access to businesses will be available at all times during the road works.

Weather permitting the works will finish on Sunday July 24. It is anticipated that the road will be re-opened after this date. However, a further closure for two days will be enforced approximately two weeks later to allow the road markings to be re-instated.

The A801 Rural Westfield from Westfield Roundabout to A706 Rural Torphichen will be closed to through traffic to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing. However, local access will be permitted and signage will be erected to indicate that access to farmland and properties will be available at all times during the road works.

Weather permitting the works will commence on Friday, July 22, to Sunday July, 24. It is anticipated that the road will be re-opened after this date. However, a further closure for two days will be enforced approximately two weeks later to allow the road markings to be re-instated.

The A706 Rural Torphichen from junction with A801 to Roundabout Mill Road Linlithgow will be closed to through traffic to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing. Weather permitting the works should take place on July 25 to July 27. However, local access will be permitted and signage will be erected to indicate that access to businesses and residential properties will be available at all times during the road works.

Again a further closure for two days will be enforced approximately two weeks later to allow the road markings to be re-instated. Further information concerning the dates for the re-instatement of the road markings will be advertised in the near future.
