Bo’ness looked as if it had been taken over by a Roman Legion last weekend.
Over 420 people marched to Kinneil House to see the Antonine Guard Roman re-enactment group.
For three hours, spectators were treated to a garrison of various activities including military displays as the group set up a Roman camp and the Legion showing off their war tactics.
Friends of Kinneil, organisers of the event, gave youngsters a chance to dress-up like Roman soldiers and get their hands dirty making art from clay.
A spokesman said: “It was a great afternoon. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves. A big thanks to Falkirk Council, Historic Scotland and Falkirk Community Trust.”
The event was part of Big Roman Week, which sees chef John Church cook up Roman dishes in St Mary’s Church Hall tonight (Friday).
