SAVIFEST coming to Glasgow Barrowlands

IN its lifetime the Barrowlands, once voted second-best small venue in Europe, has held court to many a famous name from Simple Minds to Lulu , Oasis to Paulo Nutini.

It would be easier to list those who have not performed there than the many hundreds who graced its halls.

Following on in their star studded footsteps is a unique and diverse musical event being showcased from 5pm till late on October 21 on behalf of SAVI - Sexual Assault Victims’ Initiative.

Set up for families and child victims it was borne out of one family’s tragic experience , their continued determination to influence change within the legal system, and to help young victims and families cope with the aftermath of sex attacks.

On offer will be a heady blend of rock, acoustic, soul and pop provided by new and established bands and solo artists from all over Scotland, culminating in a line up set to rock the roof off the Barrowlands and offer a very entertaining evening for all ages and music tastes.

Full programme details will be available soon, with more than a few suprises thrown in.
