Churches in Queensferry have come together to launch an initiative for families and businesses alike in the run up to the festive season.
A flock of 12 sheep were penned up at Queensferry Parish Church but as from Sunday they have moved to pastures new in shops along Queensferry’s High Street.
Each shop will adopt a sheep, give it a name and decorate it with festive holly or the like, to personalise it.
It will then be placed somewhere in the shop and children and their families will be invited to go in and hunt for them.
When discovered, the finder will be given a little card each with a different part of the Christmas story.
The initiative, aimed to help boost local business and tell the Christmas story, began in Liverpool when a shopper noticed there was nothing about the story of Christmas in city’s stores.
This led to her inventing a different kind of treasure hunt trail. So don’t be sheepish – go and find them!
