Members of the tiniest congregration in Linilthgow showed their big hearts by donating unwanted goods for a fund-raising spring sale.
St Peter’s Episcopal Church held a Spring Clean Sale on Saturday last as part of a programme of fund-raising towards the church’s upkeep.
The congregation had donated various items which were no longer needed after spring cleaning and seasonal tidying-up for sale to the public.
The church welcomed many visitors to its distinctive little gem of a building on the High Street.
The various items included china and glasswear, ornaments and soft furnishings and after three hours of trading many of the items were sold raising over £260.
The leftovers will be looking for new owners and will be included in a jumble sale in the church on Saturday, April 28, as part of the ongoing programme of fundraising throughout the year.
St Peter’s congregation is always appreciative of the support it receives for their fundraising events which also provide the opportunity of meeting others from outside the church.
The church’s Rev Christine Barclay said: ‘‘Although not directly involved in the organisation of the sale, I am delighted at the efforts and support of the congregation.”
