The evening sky above Queensferry was set aglow with a spectacular fireworks display on Tuesday night.
The event saw local business 21CC Fireworks set off the pyrothechnic display from a floating barge in the Forth. The display, part of a special Prince’s Trust charity event, was timed to coincide with a steam train packed full of diners crossing the Forth Bridge at the same time.
The display featured six tonnes of fireworks and equipment and saw 20,000 effects synchronised to music which had computer-controlled firing systems on the barge which received wireless firing code signals from the steam train as it crossed the Forth Bridge.
Altogether 18 staff of 21CC Fireworks were involved in the planning and deliver of the charity event.
