Bus operator Stagecoach is to run buses in the Queens-
ferry area on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The company announced its festive timetable last week and it offers a service into the city from 10.38am up until 9.48pm with the first bus from Edinburgh at 11.30 am up until 10.40pm.

On New Year’s Day, buses into the city run from 9.08am until 9.48pm while the return journey starts at 9.25am until 10.40pm.

Andrew Jarvis, managing director Stagecoach East Scotland, said: “We would remind customers to check their regular services by
referring to our festive time-table leaflet over the Christmas and New Year period.”

Stagecoach is also running a festive promotion valid on all seven-day megarider tickets available across East Scotland. Mr Jarvis said: “Our ‘12 days of Christmas’ promotional offer means customers can benefit from 12 days travel for the price of seven.

‘‘Passengers who purchase any seven-day megarider ticket between December 22 and 28 will automatically have their ticket extended until January 4’’
