Budding Andy Murray’s and Colin Fleming’s honed their tennis skills when Linlithgow Tennis Club recently staged an Easter holiday tennis camp.
The two week camp catered for youngsters aged five and upwards and for the first time the club opened its doors to non-members too.
Tennis coach Michael Groves said: ‘‘Despite the camp being staged during the Easter break, we still had a good number of children attend. The smaller numbers also allowed the enthusiastic children to enjoy more dedicated coaching.’’
The clubs four all-weather courts were open with some courts reduced to mini courts for the five to eight year-olds.
While tennis is classed as a outdoor summer sport in the UK, Michael has been offering a full coaching programme since February.
