A Bo’ness beauty queen is hoping to take the top spot in a major pageant at the end of next month.
Kaila Bryson (17), who works for Falkirk Council, has been named a finalist in this year’s Teen Queen Scotland.
Run by modelling agency ModelScotland, it offers the winner a 12 month modelling contract, a cash prize and a trip for two to Majorca.
Kaila, who was third in the Miss Scotland Perfect pageant last year, will head to the Bruce Hotel in East Kilbride for the grand final on March 29.
She will then hope to wow the judges over the course of five rounds, including evening wear, Easter wear and traditional wear.
As an aspiring model, Kaila is hoping that any success she has in the competition will improve her career prospects.
Kaila said: “I was quite quiet at school so some people are a bit surprised that I’m doing beauty pageants now!
“My friends are really proud of me and a lot of them have said that I seem a lot more confident now.”
The 12 Teen Queen Scotland finalists also have a shot at winning an additional title - Miss Teen Publicity.
Whichever finalist gets the most Facebook ‘likes’ on their picture in the Teen Queen Beauty Pageants’ album will be crowned the winner.
