Their say

THE number of people in UK diagnosed with diabetes has reached three million according to new analysis carried out by Diabetes UK and Tesco.

The figure represents and increase of 132,000 in the last year. West Lothian Diabetes UK Voluntary Group is working hard to make those with diabetes in the county aware of what is available to them in the way of support, information, and fundraising in a friendly informal environment at our monthly meetings.

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 3, from 7-9pm in Inveralmond Community High School, Ladywell, Livingston when Dr Geoff Dunn will talk about 30 years of living with diabetes, with particular reference to hypos. The meetings are all held in an easy access area so that those who are less able can have no difficulty in attending, there is always a welcome cuppa and time to chat and share with others who live with similar difficulties.
