In the spotlight this week is mindreader Drew McAdam

1 When did you realise you had a gift?

I wish it were a gift. It’s a learned skill that’s taken years to refine thanks to some fine mentors.

2 If you had a superpower what would it be?

3 Would you ever use a
superpower to your advantage?

I would use it to raise laughs. Can you imagine the uproar it would cause if a bicycle rattled along Linlithgow High Street with nobody riding it? What fun.

4 What do you love about

It’s worth the nerves and the intensity to see the expression on the faces of the audience.

5 Do you have any celebrity friends?

I am fortunate to count among my friends Rory Bremner and Uri Geller. Actors, pop stars and international dignitaries also. How cool is that?

6 What would be your dream gig?

I’ve played the opulent three-tier theatre housed within the Yusopov Palace in St Petersburg.

7 One of my earliest memories?

My first day at school and realising it wasn’t going to be good. My view never changed.

8 Name three people, past or present, you would invite for dinner?

Alice Cooper. Brian Blessed. Barry Cryer. Three people with whom I’ve been lucky to spend some time with.

9 Favourite holiday destination?

10 Three words to describe you?

Adolescent. Enigmatic. Flippant.
