A newly qualified
Kirkliston midwife
has received a special award in recognition of her outstanding caring skills.

Lyndsey Anderson (34), who graduated from Edinburgh Napier University last week, has been awarded the Simon Pullin Award – an honour created to
celebrate the human side of nursing.

The programme encourages nursing and midwifery students to not only look after the health of the patient but to inquire and respond to simple but
often fundamental needs not necessarily related to illness

Lyndsey, who received £250 prize money, said: “I am truly privileged to have been given this award, as well as the opportunity to become a midwife.’’
