Teachers may have thought they were seeing double as they welcomed not one but two sets of twins to their primary one class.
Twin boys, Martin and Marcus Miller (4) joined Grant and Ross Fresson (5) at Torphichen Primary School in West Lothian.
Both sets of twins live with their families in the small village of Torphichen.
Although there have been twins at the school before, it’s quite unusual to have two sets in one class.
Headteacher Mary McKenzie says the boys are enjoying being in the clasroom and are making new friends with other pupils in their year group.
She said: “They’re setting in well to their school routine and enjoying the learning experience.
“They interact well with their peers and each other.
“It’s a small community school so everyone looks out for one and other.”
They are in a composite P1/2 class of 24 pupils and Mrs Eccles is the teacher looking after them.
There is another set of twins in Primary Six at the school but staff struggled to remember the last time there was more than one set in one class.
