A driver smashed into a parked car in Linlithgow and the force from the collision pushed the stationary car into a parked van.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to an address on St Ninian’s Road, Linlithgow, on Sunday, May 22, following a road traffic collision.
“The incident happened at around 1.15am when a black Mercedes struck a parked Mini One before leaving the scene. Such was the force of the collision that the Mini was pushed into a van that was parked nearby causing significant damage.
“Officers later recovered the Mercedes abandoned on Preston Road.”
Police are trying to trace the owner of the vehicle and ask anyone with relevant information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
