Staff at the Xcite gym in Linlithgow are looking forward to re–opening the refurbished facility this Saturday.

The project at Kettilstoun Mains has taken 12 months to complete and has been carried out in phases to minimise impact to customers.

A new gym area and innovative equipment, three fitness studios, new changing areas and an extended café as well as 100 extra parking spaces has been developed over the past year and facility manager Kerry McMaster is “delighted” to be able to open the doors to customers.

She said: “The team at Xcite Linlithgow feel really privileged and excited to be in a position to be able to provide such excellent facilities to our local and surrounding communities.”

She also thanked customers for their patience during the renovations.

Executive councillor for culture and leisure, Dave King said the facility is popular in the community and this development was an important milestone for the venue.

To celebrate a nineties-themed ‘Mad for It’ weekend from Saturday, February 27 is planned with free activities for kids and adults, membership offers, prizes, and competitions including fancy dress.
