Water woes in Bo'ness

A BO'NESS pensioner was soaked as she slept by flood water pouring through her ceiling in the middle of the night from a burst pipe.

The deaf and dumb 78-year-old lady alerted neighbours to the emergency in her two-storey council house at about 3.45am on Monday.

Bo'ness-based firefighters have had a spate of flooding-related call outs, with the recent thaw after the cold snap playing havoc with pipes.
