Bo’ness Fair funds received a bumper boost at the weekend following a well-attended sportsmans’ dinner.

The town hall was the venue for the occasion and the event raised in excess of £2500.

Speakers included Jim Robertson, Procurator Fiscal in Fife; Johnny Bacigalupo, businessman and retired rugby player; and Bill Rutherford, a former caddie on the European Golf Tour.

Jeff Stewart, former Bo’ness Children’s Fair executive chairman, was master of ceremonies and Tom Burns, entertainments committee convener for the fair, organised the occasion.

Said Tom: ‘‘We had a very entertaining evening which raised an excellent sum of money for the children’s fair funds.

‘‘I’d like to thank the speakers, Jeff for doing the MC duties, and everyone who attended.’’
