Road users at the Ferrymuir Roundabout and in and around South Queensferry generally face “short term but significant” disruption over two weekends this month.
The Forth Crossing team will close the B800 south of the roundabout in both directions for planing and resurfacing from 8pm on Saturday, October 15 and 6am on Monday, October 17.
During the same period the B907 into and exiting South Queensferry at the roundabout will also be closed, and diversions will be signed for the affected traffic.
On the following weekend the same two roads will be partially closed between 8pm on Saturday, October 22 and 6am on Monday, October 24, but the B800 soouthbound from Ferrymuir will stay open to traffic at all times.
The B906 traffic exiting South Queensferry at Ferrymuir will not be permitted to turn right towards the A90.
Access to the retail park will be available at all times via the B800 southbound from Echline Roundabout, but motorists are advised they should use an alternative route if possible.
The team in charge of the work have warned that times may have to be changed without warning, and could have to be extended if unforeseen difficulties arise.
If that happens a third weekend of disruption could be needed to complete the work.
