Woman taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on A9 in Polmont

A woman has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Polmont.

Police were called to the scene of the crash, which involved a van and a car, where the A9 and Grandsable Road meet.

The force confirmed a woman has been transported to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

The A9 is open in both directions, however, access to Grandsable Road has been limited to traffic heading west.

Motorists are able to access the A9 by turning left from Grandsable Road.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police received a report of a road traffic crash involving a van and a car on the A9 between Ice House Brae and the Polmont Bypass.

"Emergency services attended and the female driver of the car was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment. The road was reopened at around 3.10pm.”
