Sir, – I am just dropping a wee letter to yourselves in the hope that you print it saying thanks to the staff and players at Bo’ness United who gave our foster son the privilege of being their mascot for the day.

To say he loved it is an understatement. A big thank you to Jennifer Sneddon for arranging it all for us and to the players for making his dream come true and most of all to Nicky Walker, Keano’s favourite player, for spending time after the match having a kickabout with him. From Claire, Keano and myself, thanks. – Yours etc.,

Sir, – May I, on behalf of a canal boat full of Linlithgow and Bo’ness pensioners, say a great big thank you to the members from Linlithgow and Bo’ness Rotary Club who looked after us so well on Friday, September 20. Their service to the passengers was so fantastic which reflects their continued support to local organisations. Also a big thank you to Joe Lavery who entertained us with his great music.

Once again thanks from all of us. – Yours etc.,

Sir, I live on part of a former World War 2/Early Cold War radar base.I have so far managed to track down 14 former World War 2 WAAFs who served here and around 35 1950s airmen and a couple of officers.I have managed to put WAAFs back in touch who lost touch in 1945 and airmen back in touch who have not seen each other since 1955, in one case a gentleman and his best man.

For me this is a national and international search for all former veterans and their family members.
Without your support my ability to reach veterans is greatly limited.

I am really greatful for any help you can offer me with getting the word out. – Yours etc.,
