All kitted out

Bo’ness United Community Football Club’s 2003 teams launched their new strip on Tuesday night, sponsored by family-run and Falkirk-based firm Forth Builders, during training at Bo’ness Academy.

Club chairman Phil Blackburn said: “We are very grateful to director David Ogg of Forth Builders for his kind and generous financial support for both our 2003 teams.

“At a time when money is tight and yet all facilities and equipment seem to cost more and more, it helps enormously to have local businesses like this supporting local children’s football teams like Boness United CFC.”

David, whose son Jamie (10) plays for one of the 2003 teams, is also involved in a coaching capacity and was delighted to give the backing of his firm, which specialises in the building contracts and construction industry Scotland-wide.

He said the new strips and sponsorship deal would give the teams another lease of life and he hopes they do well once the new season kicks off next month.

Formed in 2008, Bo’ness United CFC is an SFA Quality Mark Club for local youngsters. It is currently on the look out for players born in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and also people keen to get involved in coaching.
