SCOTLAND’S leading national club championship, the Inter-County Top Ten, has a new sponsor with Co-operative Funeralcare investing its support in the 31st playing of the popular format that originated in West Lothian in 1975.
The Top Ten embraces 25 County Associations and swings into its preliminary round action on Sunday, May 13, with the 2011 champions chasing another national title.
Kirkliston have etched their name on the coveted piece of silverware a record three times and the current holders of the title are back representing West Lothian and have a home tie in the first round proper against Kilbarchan of Renfrewshire on Sunday, May 20.
The second round continues nationwide on Sunday, May 27, then the final day’s play – the last four – takes place at Colinton, Edinburgh, on Sunday, June 10.
