LAST weekend County 1st XI travelled to Fife to play Falkland 1st XI at Scroggie Park in the CSL East First Division match.
Falkland batted first scoring 205 for 4 in a match reduced to 44 overs because of the weather, with B. Ditchman 77 not out and W. Sullivan 57 not out. Alan Williamson 1 for 20 and Clinton Dixon 1 for 31. After tea County were set a target of 152 from 25 overs under the Duckworth/Lewis system after a further reduction because of rain, When County batted they were all out for 84 in 21 overs, with Andy Raven 33 and Jimmy McOscar 16. County had 4 batsmen run out for 12 runs from which they could not recover. Falkland won the match by 68 runs and collect 10 points, with County returning home pointless.
County 2nd XI hosted Gala at Boghall in the East League Division 3 match. Gala batted first scoring 60 for 5 in 28 overs, with D. Bolland 1 and D. Tharanga 12 not out. Jordan Hamilton 2 for 16 and Grant Raven 1 for 4. At this stage the match had to be abandoned as a no result because the heavy rain made the ground unplayable.
County 3rd XI travelled to Edinburgh to play Boroughmuir 2nd XI at Meggatland in the East League Diviaion 6 match. County were asked to have first use of the Meggatland wicket scoring 205 for 6 from their 45 overs. with Neil Halliday 51, Alan Whitton 43, Ken Thomson 39 and captain Mattie Norris 38. D. Venkataraman 2 for 26. After tea Boroughmuir batted scoring 208 for 2 in 34 overs, with M. Jones 110 and K. Docherty 69. Ken Thomson 1 for 11 and Mattie Norris 1 for 46. Boroughmuir won the match by 8 wickets and collect 20 points, with County picking up 6 bonus points.
On Sunday afternoon County Sunday XI hosted a Glenrothes XI at Boghall in the Forth Union Sunday League match. Glenrothes batted first scoring 126 for 9 in 29 overs, with G. Horcroft 50 Retired Not Out, A. Tabasom 20 and S. Rowley 16. Andrew Newman 2 for 19 and John Strachan 2 for 21. After tea County Sunday XI chased down the 127 runs required for victory with the loss of 6 wickets, with Alastair Napoli 28, Jordan Hamilton 26 not out and Malcolm Raven 18. R. Hutchison 2 for 20 and C. Greaves 2 for 25. County Sunday XI won the match by 4 wickets and are at the top of the Forth Union Sunday League.

On Saturday afternoon County 2nd XI travel to Edinburgh to play Grange 3rd XI at Raeburn Place in the East League Division 3 match, with a 1pm start.
Also on Saturday afternoon County 3rd XI travel to Edinburgh to host and play Clackmannan County 2nd XI at Gyle Park in the East League Division 6 match, with a 1pm start.
On Sunday afternoon County Sunday XI host a Livingston XI in the Forth Union Sunday League match with a 1pm start.
Outdoor Net Practices are held at Boghall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.30pm until 8pm throughout the summer. If you are looking for a friendly club why not come down to Boghall and try cricket for yourself.
Junior Net Practices Sessions are as follows: Juniors 13 and over practice on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm until 8pm. Juniors under 13 from age seven and over practice on a Wednesday evening at 6.30pm until 8pm. All children are welcome to come along on the appropriate night for their age group and try cricket for themselves.
