BO’NESS United are gunning for their first win over arch-rivals Linlithgow Rose this season, as they host the Super League champions tomorrow (Saturday, ko 2.30pm).
The United camp is buoyant after a 3-0 win over Carnoustie and a 2-1 result away at Kelty but BU assistant boss Steve Kerrigan wasn’t getting carried away this midweek.
“Obviously we are massive underdogs and I’d imagine Linlithgow will come full of confidence and expecting to beat us. We will see how it unfolds. We are certainly not going to roll over,” he said.
The team is out to reverse March’s double defeats at the hands of the Rose; 3-2 in the Super League, and 4-1 in the Scottish Junior Cup.
Kerrigan revealed the BUs training sessions together have been disrupted due to injured players getting treatment. “To say we are depleted is an understatement,” he added.
NET BOUND: Stephen Hislop prepares to celebrate following his goal against Carnoustie on Saturday.
