Boness AFC were crowned McNee Cup champions on Sunday at Creamery Park, Bathgate.

The local side defeated Greentree FC 3-2 in a game of two contrasting halves which saw the Bo’ness lads 2-0 down at half time.

Bo’ness found themselves back in the game five minutes into the second half with a great free-kick delivery from captain Andy Colquhoun which fell perfectly for Gary
Mitchell who fired a header into the top corner.

Five minutes later Bo’ness were pressing and found the equaliser through a tap-in from Darren Rutherford.

Bo’ness now looked the
better team and 10 minutes
later Rutherford skinned three
opponents to place the ball neatly at the keeper’s near post and give Bo’ness the lead.

The last five minutes were nerve-wracking and Scott Bruce, the Bo’ness keeper, pulled off some world class saves to keep Bo’ness ahead and be crowned McNee
Cup winners in their first
season.

The squad thanks all
the businesses that have supported them in their debut season .
