All three men can play in a variety of positions and are among nine BU stars secured for the 2021-22 campaign by Christie, and he is still talking to other signing targets.

Christie told the Journal and Gazette: “Ryan and Tom have done very well and are good footballers who can keep developing. Ryan was a full-time pro at Raith when I came in. He’s a Bo’ness boy and it’s his club.

“Ryan can play full-back, a wide area and can play centre midfield. Tom’s been there kind of since the day I came in. He also has an affinity to the place. He can play in centre midfield or off the striker, come off the right or up top.

“Nick signed for us last season and did very well in the Lowland League. Even with the stop-start nature of it, he did well, so we’re really pleased we’ve got him tied up for next season. He’s a big player for us.

“Nick plays everywhere. He’s striker, midfield, full-back, centre-back. He just can play anywhere.

“I’m still to get round some of the other boys, but we’re quite happy with the core of what we’ve got and obviously we’ve just got to add to it.

“Like every manager, I’ve got a list of players that I’m trying to get into the club.

“We’re just all hunting for the same players and trying to convince them that our place is the best option for them.

“We can’t announce any names at the moment as they’re all still under contract at other clubs.”
