Goals from Colin Strickland and Tommy Coyne saw Linlithgow Rose into the second round of the Scottish Cup past ten man Gala Fairydean Rovers.
Strickland fired Rose ahead after just four minutes but the visitors had to wait till the 89th minute to secure victory as Coyne fired home from close range before Ross Aitchison was sent off in the final minute.
Linlithgow dominated the first half and would have been further ahead were it not for an inspired performance by Gala keeper Mark Wilson.
At the other end substitute Aitchison saw his header tipped into the bar by Linlithgow keeper Ally Adams while Blair Batchelor headed against the Gala bar.
Wilson made his best stop of the game with a one hand effort to deny Strickland at the start of the second half but Gala created some good chances and Noble almost equalised only for Adams to palm away.
Linlithgow’s Andrew Shirra fired a shot against the crossbar and Miller of Gala headed over as play raged from end to end.
But the tie was finally sealed as Rose substitute Ryan Baptie’s free kick was tapped in from less than six yards.
Then Aitchison was red carded for a last man foul on Callum Robertson to seal Gala’s brave resistance.
