Rose dominated the East of Scotland Premier Division encounter at Beechwood Park but paid for missing several scoring chances as Jonny Court’s first-half goal was cancelled out by a 75th minute equaliser from Chris Brown.

Bomber told the Journal and Gazette: “In my opinion, it was one of the most one-sided draws I’ve been involved in during my long time in football.

“Their keeper pulled off one outstanding save and then maybe two or three other good saves on the back of that. I would have been expecting far more goals from my players from the chances created.

“Through good goalkeeping, a bit of bad luck and some poor finishing, we never capitalised on it.

“It was a big step forward in terms of our performance at the weekend, but obviously we need to get a result on top of that. Obviously we’re disappointed not to have got the three points.

“At the same, time it’s a notoriously difficult place to go and pick up three points.

“We certainly deserved it on the day, and given what the players have had to deal with over the last week to 10 days, the situation’s just been unbelievable in terms of the injuries and covid situation.”

Ferguson said that scorer Court, a recent arrival after leaving Edinburgh City, has been a positive in an opening three league fixtures which have left Linlithgow in eighth place with five points.

“Jonny’s come in and done very well,” he said. “He’s a player that players will like playing with.

“He works hard. He’s just got a natural enthusiasm.

“Jonny can take it in and work the channels. He likes the physical side of things.

“He is a very likeable person but he’s also very competitive so when centre-halves play against him they’ll know they’ve been in a game.

“It was good for us to get the goal and I think that the one thing for him to now focus in on is probably just that scoring return.

“He is capable of getting a good return for us and hopefully that will come.

“If he can find a bit of finesse round about the goal on top of what he has already got, then it’ll be a very good signing.”
