League 1 and 2 clubs vote through plans for 22 game season as Falkirk and Stenhousemuir learn reaming fixtures for 2020/21 campaign

The SPFL have confirmed that the the resolution covering how the League 1 and League 2 seasons will be concluded has been approved and have announced the remaining fixtures for both divisions.

The 20 clubs were asked to vote on a plan to complete their season in 22 games, including a spilt after 18 matches, with strict rules in place if fixtures could not be completed by certain dates.

A statement from the SPFL said: Clubs now have until 23 April to complete 18 fixtures.

“If this is met by all clubs in each division, the post-split fixtures will then be published.

“If any clubs are unable to complete their 18 fixtures by April 23, then the post-split fixture dates for that division will be used to ensure that every club has completed 18 matches by May 6, in time for participation in the promotion and relegation playoffs.

“With the number of games now confirmed, the SPFL has also published the full fixture list, up to and including match day 18, for both League 1 and League 2.”
