Miller pleased with professional performance as Falkirk win at Forfar

Charlie Telfer and Blair Alston scored either side of half time in a game where the visitors took their chances and goalkeeper Robbie Much was a spectator for most of the 90 minutes.

"It was a real professional performance from us," said Miller.

"It's another three points and we look forward to the next one.

"We scored at the right times, could we have scored more? Yeah we could have probably probed and went forward but we didn't need to.

"We were in control of the game and keeping hold of the ball and that's what we asked them to do.

"We were pressing for the second goal and that killed the game a wee bit, they obviously then threw a lot forward so credit to the defence on another clean sheet.

"Robbie comes out and grabs a few corners and crosses to take the pressure off the defence.

"We never really created a lot of chances but we controlled the game.

"It's a tough place to come and Forfar makes things difficult for you and I thought we dealt with everything they threw at us.

"We had to win the fight first and foremost and I thought we did, we showed good character to keep the ball at stages which was really pleasing.

"They will take points off teams, they are hard to play against and have a lot of experience in there with some youth fed in."

The result also meant the Bairns moved six points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes League 1 table but, as has been the case all season, Miller says they are never looking anywhere else other than their own performances and the next game which is on Tuesday at home to Dumbarton.

"It's another three points,” said Miller.

"We're not getting carried away or looking too far forward, we go again on Tuesday.

"We're six points clear but it's the old cliche, we try to take every game as it comes.

"We've stressed that to the boys, we don't get carried away, it's another three points and we can only do what we can on the pitch to affect us and the rest will take care of itself.

"We've tried to get the message across to the guys that it's a squad game.

"We need everybody fit and doing wee bits extra and if called upon, they're ready to go.

"We have good depth in the squad and are in a good place with everybody available but we need to do things properly.

"That's another game chalked off. Now we look after the boys who played and the boys who didn't will do a wee bit extra and we might change things a bit for Tuesday.

"We've got the quality to rotate things."
