LINLITHGOW racing driver George Orr secured another double victory in his Ford Fiesta ST at Knockhill last weekend.
The event was the Knockhill Motor Sports Club (KMSC) first ever meeting, which saw Fiesta STs, XR2s and Mini Coopers compete in what was the last car meet of the season.
The race was not only to see which driver, but which car, would come out on top.
Race one saw George attain pole position in qualifying despite the wet track conditions.
Despite using slick tyres, which did not respond well to the greasy track, the local driver secured first place not only in the ST class but for the overall race.
Race two saw the track dry out and on the same tyres it enabled him to create a hefty gap on the rest of the field and secure his second overall race victory of the day.
George said after the race meet: “Massive thanks to Knockhill Racing Circuit for organising such a brilliant first race meeting, the event ran smoothly and made for a great day’s racing!
‘‘The open saloons race created an interesting battle for me, with having the BMW Mini Coopers in the mix.
‘‘I couldn’t have wished for better results - coming away with another double victory is just brilliant.”
