A foursome of budding football players from Linlithgow have been selected for the Prestigious SFA 2020 Player Development Centre in Bathgate.

After attending trials attended by over 100 players, Lorcan Gray, Jack and Kieran Muldoon, and Sam Thomas were selected to attend the centre this season. Lorcan, Jack and Kieran all play for Linlithgow Rose Community Football Club 2002 while Sam started out his career at LRCFC before moving onto Stenhousemuir.

All players had their first session last Friday and were delighted at being chosen to attend the programme which SFA Performance Director Mark Wotte believes is the first stage in developing players to have the ability to represent Scotland at the 2020 European Championships.

Billy McAdam of the community football club said: “LRCFC are delighted for these players to have been selected, to have four players in a final squad of 20 is testament to the excellent work put in by all the coaches and players throughout their development with the club.”
