TEENAGER Cameron Low motored his way to the top of the leader board winning his first Scottish senior karting final at Larkhall earlier this month.

Cameron (16), a fifth year pupil at Linlithgow Academy, is the third generation of a racing family with grandad Roy and father Colin both winning Formula Ford Championships in the past.

Mum Fiona, of Kettilstoun Mains, Linlithgow, said: “Cameron got into karting when family friend Louis Di Resta, father of Formula 1 Force India rising star, Paul, built a kart up for him to test - the rest is history.”

Starting his third season in karting and his first in seniors as the youngest driver in the class, this latest win was Cameron’s third of the season and he now has his sights set on further victories in his family run Gillard Kart.
