West Lothian step up their bid for Hamilton Trophy glory with a quarter-final match against Glasgow West at Kilwinning this weekend.
They must have a strong chance of making it into the last four of The Cities and Counties Championship but there is a question mark against their form in the East section qualifying play having lost on three occasions but having battled into second top place in encouraging fashion there will be expectations of better things to come.
The runners-up in the East section face the West section winners and they come in the shape of a Glasgow West team that won six out of seven with the one defeat coming by a single shot so confidence in their camp will be high.
Team manager Jimmy Mallon had to cope with the enforced absence of Stuart Johnston and Brian Craig and decided on the recall of Calum Logan and David Rodgers in a slightly re-shaped line up that reads: Rink 1 - Ewan Shearer, Blair Mackie, Mark Allison, Neil Speirs. Rink 2 - Drew Paterson, Connor McKendrick, Calum Logan, Grant Logan. Rink 3 - Andrew Semple, James Speirs, John Aitken, Thomas Mann. Rink 4 - David Rodgers, Alec Allan, Andy Dunnett, Steven Fleming. Rink 5 - Steven Forrest, Walter McDougall, Gary Smith, Raymond Logan. Rink 6 - John Black, Jamie Aitken, Gary Orr, Sandy McDougall.
