Lothian Running Club ace Sarah Inglis switches to 10k in Olympic qualification bid
Marathon runner Sarah Inglis will turn her attention to the 10,000m as she bids for Olympic selection.
The Lothian Running Club ace, who is based in Canada, missed out at Kew Gardens in London when she finished sixth in the trials race staged by British Athletics and won on the day by Steph Davis.
Now Sarah will look to try and get inside the 31.39.40 qualifying standard for the track event – hopefully via an event in Canada as issues around her work, travelling and Covid mean she won’t be able to compete at the 10,000m trials in Birmingham on June 5.
Sarah, coached in Langley by Mark Bomba, said: “We are looking to get a 10,000m race in Vancouver and I will have a go at the qualifying time.”
