Only the top two finishers were guaranteed a place on the plane to Japan providing they finished within the qualifying time of 2h 29m 30s.The only athlete to get inside the standard was London based Scot Steph Davis. Sarah started to feel the pace with around eight miles left and endured a tough time over the last part of the race. She crossed the line in 2 hours 34 minutes 09 seconds.

Some good news came out of it for Sarah - back home isolating in Canada – as her time is inside the qualifying standard of 2h 36m 49s for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
