Queensferry racing driver Rory Bryant took part in his first-ever 24 hour endurance race last weekend at Silverstone.
Preparations began last Thursday with testing and qualifying heats on Friday.
Rory and co-driver Simon Mason qualified fourth in their class.
The race got underway at 3pm on Saturday and the pair got off to a good start taking the lead within the first hour.
Rory began his first part of the race at 9pm and they were placed second in their class. One hour and 50 minutes into his section of the race, he had to pull the car into the pit due to a problem with the exhaust. This lost them 14 laps and dropped them down to ninth in their class.
Although they did manage to fight their way back up the leader board, they had to be content with sixth in their class and 12th overall out of 40 cars.
Rory said: “While the result was a bit disappointing - as without the exhaust problem during the night we would have been right in contention for the class win - it was still a fantastic opportunity and a great experience.”
